Where there’s smoke …

… There’s fire.

I thought that by now he would have changed his mind, but after 23 years Jim “Turk” Evers has hung it up. Turk was head equipment manager for the Flyers until he walked out of the building a few days ago and said he had enough. He’s done.

I don’t know what the hell is going on down there in South Philly but when Turk walks out the door, you can bet that place is dysfunctional. (at least another half-dozen Flyers brass that I know about — with a collective 70+ years of service to the organization — have packed it in this summer too, and flew the Flyers coop for other pastures … )

Gone are President Ron Ryan, assistant coach Wayne Fleming, director of pro hockey personnel Ron Hextall, trainer Stephan Lipinski, and head equipment manager Jim “Turk” Evers, and Dean Lombardi (would have been a great replacement for Clarke, but wishful thinking…). Add in the loss of a guy like Bill Barber a few years back and other key personnel and you begin to wonder what the fuck these jackasses are up to down there. Busy spending our money I guess and hiking ticket prices …

Turk always treated Bully well and whatever you choose to do now, bro, I wish you and your family the best of luck. Good luck, Jim.

Turk: ‘Dogged’ no more by Flyers, their equipment or hungry wolves
