oh my God! i hear what you're saying! try being a leafs fan though! you can't afford to go to the games...yet they're sold out every game. and if you do save enough money to buy tickets...you get a weak game full of powerplays. no fights...no hits...whoopee. and this team is only getting further from winning a cup. basically i just want to state how idiotic maple leafs fan are. like flyer fans, we need to just stop going. maybe that would incite change. hopefully flyer fans are smarter, cause that will never happen in leafs nation. hahaha...we win 3 games in a row and they start planning the stanley cup parade route. we suck!

"In the past if the Flyers didn’t win, at least they fought. Fans were happy and entertained. Now, there has been a definite shift. It doesn’t matter if fans are happy, it only matters that the club appear to care and appear to entertain. If they fail, folks that have spent $400 on tickets for the game won’t say so because it will make them feel dumber about spending the next $400."

Well put. That explains a lot. Fans keep coming back because they are addicted. Like drug dealers, the owners realize this and just keep lowering the dosage while increasing the price. Well, not all teams ... but most. This includes the NHL. They will eventually try to ban fighting altogether from the NHL. And to me, that means lowering the entertainment value of hockey. It's like ... removing the color from your television ... or outlawing slamdunks in basketball.
