Change of Hart
Well, hell.
Coach Don and some others have been on Bully lately to get off my high horse about the Flyers and NHL. I appreciate all the input and have thought things through. A previous post on the blog said i was going to change the name of the site for a number of reasons.
I was leaning toward HockeyBully.com which is what I have been using to brand the newer clips with.
Although I think the Flyers are being run by jackasses and the NHL is no better, I think I will stick with the name of the site.
For me, the Flyers represent something that Bobby Clarke’s GM style and Ed “I’m Always Angry As Hell for no good reason” Snider and constant blunders cannot change. I grew up watching the Flyers and the mentality of that old time hockey is branded on my soul, like it or not.
To me and many others I think the game passed Clarke and Snider by years ago and we’ve all just been asleep or too good of fans to take notice. Either way, I bleed black and orange and I think that is going the be the case forever.
WWGD: What Would Gene Hart Do? More than anything else, Gene was a fan of the game and a Flyers fan. It’s almost as if they found the best fan and let him call the games. Gene would say good night and good hockey. He was loyal like the rest of us. I knew Gene and he would say shut up and enjoy the game: you’re analyzing it too much.
