Dangle the Primeau carrot for a few more weeks while we collect and sell those season ticket packages … make sure to get the news media all there for his first day on the practice ice to convey hope to the corporate box holders and sponsors still on the fence in August about re-upping with their next born.

And then, we’ll be in better shape to either:

A. Delay his career ridiculously further, while counting revenue
B. Announce retirement
C. Say he is likely good to play this season but we’re not sure yet (add in a fingers crossed comment or two by Clarke and other assorted drones) but could be ready along with Forsberg for the opener.
E. Trade Primeau to the Rangers for Pavel Brendl, Kim Johnnson, Glen Sather’s timeshare in Edmonton
