I believe I was the only person to say at the time of his arrest that Rick Tocchet would walk away without indictment. NJ State Police and others would not be able to do a damn thing to him.

I said this on the Bully (pod) Cast, I said it on radio interviews and the Bully blog as well. Those of you who read and listen can review the reasons but they were many.

Expect Tocchet to walk away from these criminal troubles without any strings. Whether he ever can coach again is another story indeed, but likely he will sue the shit out of the NJ Department of Law & Public Safety and likely see a large pay day from it.

If he can coach anywhere in the future, and no one else bites, I would not put it past Clarke to hire him in some capacity in Philadelhia with the Flyers or Phantoms. If Clarke can hang in Toronto annually with Eagleson in the corporate suite, anything is possible …
