I have been combing a lot of older footage lately from many teams but I have to say after listening to Gene Hart on the call, there is something almost relaxing to it. he had such a unique command of the game and a way of conveying it from the booth.

I’d listen to him all day long. There will never be anyone like him and when you grow up listening to him call games on the radio and TV, you get spoiled. You have no frame of reference as a kid to know that you are listening to one of the best in the business, all time.

That is one of the best things about older games: there is just no comparison content wise and when Hart is on the mic, you feel right at home … even 30 years later.
