I expect the Flyers will try to get Rathje out on injury long term and then get his salary to not count against the cap. Even if he is healthy, he looked terrible in the opener vs Pittsburgh. Slow and slower.

I expect the Flyers will make a play for Brian Leetch in the next few days. Whether he signs is another thing. Either way, Rathje should be replaced and swept to the backburner no matter what.
