I have become less of a fan of the NHL for years and I think the folks running it prove over and over that they are lost. They are losing ground on an annual basis and hockey — like it or not — is no longer a major sport in the USA.

The NHL braintrusts have scheduled 5 games today, many of which start early and compete against NCAA football and the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.

What clown in the NHL thought this would be a good idea? I love hockey but you don’t try to compete with college bowl games on New Years.

Just stupid.

Even the 2 NBA games today don’t start until the NCAA football is over.
