The NHL All Star weekend is no more. Now it is on a Tuesday and Wednesday. NHL brass moved the weekend so that they could draw better TV ratings by not competing with the NFL. And it is on the Versus Network which not everyone gets anyway.

But more importantly I was thinking: There is NO NFL football this weekend. None.

And now the NHL puts the two-day event up against American Idol on Tuesday and Wednesday? American Idol - the most watched show on TV - owns the exact demographic that the NHL has failed to attract year after year.

Are you kidding me? Whay zombie is running this league?
