Don Cherry said a mouthful this weekend on Coach’s Corner on HNIC. The clips of the episode are in Bully. Search by clicking on the “2005-06 Scraps & Action” menu and you’ll find all the weekend action in there.

Finally, some folks are starting to back up Bully’s disgruntled view of the game, as Cherry’s sentiments echo mine. Anyone that thinks Cherry is a clown etc., he is arguably the most influential hockey voice in Canada and the largest TV personality there and powerful as hell. If he hates the new NHL, and he does, then the NHL has some problems … And I doubt true fans can watch this brand of hockey too much longer or pay $80 a seat to see this slop in person before tossing in the towel and switching to poker or bull riding on ESPN.

The fucking Honeymoon with the new NHL is over. Let’s get the game back to where players can hit each other and play hockey. The countless nightly renditions of All Star games has to end. People don’t watch NHL All Star games once a fucking year, let along 1,600 of them. Earth to Bettman and assorted spineless cronies: Stop fucking up the game. 15 year olds are playing tougher and more physical hockey than these so-called pros. WAKE THE FUCK UP!

Cherry says it best inside. Not sure why CBC stopped archiving episodes of Coach’s Corner on its website but Bully will carry it each week and upload it.
