Went to the Flyers game last night vs The Cap’s farm team. I was not impressed with the “new” Flyers, except for Jason Smith. I love that guy. Blocking shots in a preseason game.

Hate to burst everyone’s bubble, but Briere will not do half of what he did in Buffalo here in Philly. I was not impressed with him whatsoever. I just don’t see him earning his money. I watched him thoroughly and he is very very soft and the Atlantic Conference is arguably the toughest he has played in. Beyond that, he has not been impressive or dominating in any game thus far. He is fast, yes, but very very small. He looks like a 12-year-old Pee Wee.

Maybe I am wrong about Briere, but I’m rarely wrong on this blog. Now if you add Forsberg to the mix, all this could change? How? They both play center.

I’m also wondering how much of a rope the Flyers will give coach John Stevens? He could very well be gone if they don’t get off to a solid start. I have never been a fan of Stevens and do not expect much from the team under his guidance.

Prove me wrong.
