Plenty of hype about New Year’s Day game between the Pens and Sabres in Buffalo.

It is a great concept and idea.

But Buffalo?  This team was in bankruptcy 3 years ago. Seems like many other worthy candidates were overlooked.

Bruins come to mind when you factor in temperature. Bruins are an original six team. Fans are great.

Penguins are obvious because of Crosby. What about Chicago at Soldiers Field? Blackhawks an original six team too.

Buffalo? Seems like a bad fit.
