Bully Wrong? Yes, No & Maybe
Well, Flyers are back atop the Atlantic … for now. Up on the Devils with a game in hand.
Maybe I was wrong and too harsh on coach John Stevens. The young players seem to dig this guy and if they are bought in so to speak, hell, that’s more than half the battle. Hopefully, the Flyers can keep rolling. Been a crazy year so far though.
First place in the Atlantic? Big whoop though when you look at the Red Wings in the west. A 19 point lead on the Flyers with 78 compared to 59. Wow.
Bully’s predictions on Briere prior to the season have panned out. He’s a bust for the $$$$. He has fallen to 27th in the league in scoring. All 26 players in front of him — guys like Huselius, Jokinen, Horcoff, Statsny (household all stars, lol) — on the list make less money this year.
By the end of the seaon, if Lil’ Danny keeps up his current pace, he’ll finish around 39th in the league along side Daymond Lankow and Cory Stillman. Ouch!
Another great signing by the Flyers. Lil’ Danny making $11 million this year. That’s a weekly paycheck of $392,857 (before taxes) during the season. They have this stiff for eight years?
Maybe he’ll hit a growth spurt. Weak player.
