With this stiff Stevens behind the bench, I do not see the Flyers winning any of their next 3 games. I suggest betting heavily against these clowns. Actually I don’t see any wins for another 5 games, but to be conservative I’ll say the next 3 to start.

10 consecutive losses ties a franchise record for lousy hockey. But you know what else it means? Expect to see Ed Snider on TV somewhere this week claiming Philly is going to make the playoffs blah blah blah; and improve blah blah blah; and the team is young blah blah blah; and the coach is great blah blah blah; and that ticket payments are already past due for the playoffs for season ticket holders blah blah blah; and that we’re generally lucky to have the Flyers in Philly blah blah blah, and that guy was really offside in Game 6 of the 1980 Cup Finals against the Islanders blah blah blah.

Snider might even get out of his leather chair for the interviews. Nah, he’ll stay seated like Dr. Evil. Maybe he’ll shave Briere and pet him in his lap like Mr. Bigglesworth during the interview …
