My cousin Scott made a great statement last week. He said you can still be a Flyers fan and support the team or complain about the team … but either way you are supporting the players and the players are truly the team.

That, he said, doesn’t mean you have to like the ownership of the team. It seems a little crazy because any type of support is a feather in ownership’s cap. But for a life-long fan, it makes sense.

So hats off to the Flyers players. I’ve been critical in the past but there is little to bitch about. You’re playing well. Now, just punish the Penguins.

For folks who believed there was a ref/league conspiracy against the Flyers series vs. the Canadiens, you can only imagine what it will be like to play beloved Mario’s choir boys.

Maybe Crosby will tie Bill Barber’s playoff record for diving. Ah, I think he already broke that record. I’ll have to check.
