Is it the Flyers or Hitchcock?
Or both?
I have news for Flyers fans: this team kinda stinks. And they’re boring as hell too.
Anyone on that “team” going to drop the gloves this year? Brashear thinks he’s Yari Kurri. Better brush up there Donald, else Ottawa’s McGrattan may beat your ass.
Might be time for Hitch to pack his bags? His defense first system doesn’t seem to meld well with whatever style the NHL is playing these days.

As far as Brash not dancing with other enforcers … I kind of figure it’s a case of not many guys seeing and point in fighting with him because he is one of the best fighters in hockey. And he isn’t going out trying to start anything night after night because if the other guy doesn’t want to drop leather, Brash knows he will just get penalized.
I harken back to the early 90’s when Brashear was with the Habs and would actually lose more fights than he would win. I remember a game where he was damn near running away from Sandy McCarthy in the middle of a fight. But then he hit the gym when living in Vancouver, and now he is one of the top intimidators in hockey.

I think your right about Brashear not dropping the gloves. It seems that in todays NHL, enforcers are a thing of the past. What a boring game.
Now that said, i disagree about Brashear being one of the top enforcers. Maybe in 03-04, but c’mon. He’s getting old. Besides McGratton and Boogard would have there way with him. I would put money on Fedoruk also. But I guess we will never know since no one sees the importance of backing your teammates (penguins)!!! Good thing for bully we can actually watch the good old days of hockey.
