Was thinking about the timing of the Flyers announcement that Forsberg would have surgery and Hatcher’s injury at U.S. Olympic camp. Is it just a coincidence that they revealed this to the public after season ticket holders re-upped for the season? Hell, the Flyers had to know that Forsberg had a problematic ankle when he was signed here and introduced in August and received his initial physical.

Folks and fans forget that hockey is a business and NOTHING is done without considering the cash factor. Announcing Forsberg’s injury likely would had hampered season ticket hype, momentum and early full payments of such packages. AFTER the deadline passed to pay your season tickets, the Flyers announce that Forsberg and Hatcher would miss camp. Where’s Geraldo when you need him?
