					<description>I agree, the punishment for the Kasparaitus hit was ridiculous.  It was an elbow, and not even that bad of one.

What really disappointed me was the overreaction on Thornton's hit in the corner on Gill a little while back.  Did they throw Thornton out of the game for that?  Why?  If Gill doesn't go down - if Gill isn't a 6 foot 7 inch tall pantywaist with no toughness - then they probably don't even call a boarding penalty.  All penalties like that do is encourage players to dive and make the penalty aspect of the game into a joke, just the way soccer is.

One other thing regarding comments on Bullycast3 ....  Boogaard for Minnesota ... did you know he has a brother, who, like Derek, also plays for the Tri-City Americans.  Not nearly as big as Derek, but younger brother Aaron is also a Minnesota draft pick.  And just for good measure Tri-City has a 6 foot 8 inch, 230 lb defenseman named Riley Emmerson who was ALSO drafted by the Wild.</description>
