Flyers Game Opening Night & Johnny Walker Green
Made it to the Flyers game for opening night against the Rangers last night. All bullshit aside, pro hockey if it stays the way it is will die a slow death. The new rules are terrible. Looks much like European-league play but way more expensive to attend. But fortunately you can’t let the rules manufactured by some corporate dweebs keep you down: there was plenty of beer to keep Bully and crew happy. The best part of the game was some fan kept yelling directly into the Flyers bench that they better quit reading about how “good” they are in the newspapers and play like a team. It was funny the first time he did it and still funny after the 20th time. As the Flyers were leaving the ice after pissing away the opener to what will likely be the worst team in the NHL (Rangers) when April rolls around, I wove a tapestry of obscenities directly for several players and Hitchcock and cleverly inserted the words Stanley Cup between swear words, though I can’t really remember what the hell I actually said. I just remember differing reactions from team security and children under 8 within earshot.

Then it was off the the gentlemen’s club and alot of Johnny Walker green: 2 shots for every missed power play opportunity for the flyers who went 1 for 10. Ouch! Betcha my head hurts less today than those fucker’s legs skating for Hitchcock …
